Crisp Apartment Renovation On A Budget.
Small apartments are usually bought for investment purposes or by first home buyers. This very small East Perth apartment was transformed within 10 days on a shoe string budget. The goal being to increase the appeal to future tenants and hopefully add some value after the apartment renovation was complete.
Beauty In Functionality.
The area was built for someone that wanted a useful but pleasant living space. It could then be used as a base to dash between work and leisure.
The kitchen was gutted and cleaned thoroughly before being completely painted, retiled and fitted. A new set of coloured and High Moisture Resistant cabinets were also added.
Walls were cleaned and repainted in white, which then lightened the room and created the illusion of more space. Removal of the brown carpet and installation of an inexpensive laminate floor added a more modern feel to an otherwise outdated space. Last of all new light and door fittings were installed.
Earlier the studio living space was dark and unwelcoming. A merging of brown brick, brown carpet and wooden cabinets made it difficult to understand the space for what it was worth. To attract a higher value tenant would require some drastic renovation work.
Within 10 days we completely changed the colour scheme. Removing the brown carpet and refreshing it with light wooden laminate floor created a lighter space. Painting the walls white really brightened the mood of the room and tied the space together.
